If you are newly decided you want to turn your life around, you have simply had enough or are exhausted just knowing you need to change and intending to follow through then you will need to know more about God's plan in which this is a much needed point for you to understand more fully, to help reinforce your choice and to strengthen you.  Alternately if you are already a follower and disciple of Jesus Christ, it becomes part of your covenant to share with others the good news.  It may feel there is much to learn as a beginner however whether you are new, or already a follower of Christ and looking for extra evangelizing help I have you covered.  If you are new coming from Step 1 then you want to continue to read the rest of this page.  If you are already a follower looking for a free extra effective workshop you can hold; or use this as an evangelizing tool click here for this free downloadable tool - all glory to God.

Step 2 outlines in brief below for you as a new person who has decided to turn and go forward to be able to get a quicker view of why this is important to learn the Gospels, and it is not a replacement for the full Gospels so any new learners should be encouraged to continue in the full readings of the Gospels in their New Testament KJV Life Application Study Bible, NKJV Life Application Study Bible or the Living Bible Paraphrased are great suggested bibles to start with.

LET'S LEARN ABOUT GOD'S PLAN NOW

 THE STORY OF CREATION

CARD 1: THE STORY OF CREATION  In Genesis we learn the story of God’s creation, Genesis 1:1-2 NKJV “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.”

Genesis means beginning or origin and unfolds the record of the beginning of the universe, the world, people and sin showing how it all started by being bathed in innocence, followed by records of human history, of family, of civilization and of salvation.  It is the story of God’s purpose and plan for his creation and Genesis sets the stage for the rest of the entire bible and reveals to us the nature and person of God as creator, sustainer, judge and redeemer, the tragedy and consequences of sin that requires response (resulting in judgement), the willful disobedience of Adam and Eve and the whole situation that required judgement.  This created a fall and separation from God and creation was shattered by this fall, our human innocent fellowship with God was broken.  God so loved the world that He established His promise (covenant, forgiveness, the promised Messiah) and assurance of salvation in being saved by grace through faith, accepting his gift of faith God’s way.  No matter how dark the world's situation seems, God has a salvation plan for you!

No matter how sinful you have been or separated from God you are, his salvation gift is available you, to each and every person – there is hope and God has set out his plan for us as we now know and continue to share the ‘Good News’ to others.

  • in the beginning - God started creation, the heavens and the earth.

  • the first day - light was created.

  • the second day - the sky was created.

  • the third day - dry land, seas, plants and trees were created.

  • the fourth day - the sun, moon and stars were created.

  • the fifth day - creatures that live in the sea and creatures that fly was created.

  • the sixth day – land animals and people were created.

  • on the seventh day – the Sabbath of rest.

Genesis 1-25-27 KJV  25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good. 26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

THE FAMOUS TREES IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN

CARDS 2 & 3:  THE FAMOUS TREES IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN   â€‹These are the famous trees in the Garden of Eden.   Creation included the famous Garden of Eden and God filled this with glorious fruits and trees and in the midst of the garden were two (2) very important trees - more important than all the rest of the trees and they were called the tree of Life, and the 2nd tree called the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

Genesis 2:9 “9 And out of the ground the Lord God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.”

ADAM AND EVE WERE CREATED ON THE 6TH DAY OF CREATION

CARD 4:  ADAM AND EVE WERE CREATED ON THE 6TH DAY OF CREATION  Adam and Eve are now created, spending time in the Garden of Eden.  Both were created by God in pure innocence and did not know evil at this point because they had not yet met the serpent at this time.

Genesis 1:26 KJV says, “26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over [g]all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth. 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” That is in Genesis Chapter 1:26-27 KJV God created Adam first - from dust of the ground, then God breathed his breath of life into Adam creating the first living human soul.

“And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.”  That is in Genesis 2:7, KJV

God loved the world and his creations and demonstrates this to us as we learn God thought Adam should not be alone, so here we see God creating even more for Adam’s happiness and his needs required.  Genesis 2:18 NKJV … And the LORD God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.”

Genesis 2:21-23 state “So the LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep, and while he slept, He took one of the man’s ribs and closed up the area with flesh. 22And from the rib that the LORD God had taken from the man, He made a woman and brought her to him.  23And the man said:

“This is now bone of my bones

and flesh of my flesh;

she shall be called ‘woman,’

for out of man she was taken.”

GOD INTRODUCES RULES & EXPLAINS HARM TO ADAM

CARD 5:  GOD INTRODUCES RULES & EXPLAINS HARM TO ADAM  God loved his creation of man very much and God had a conversation with Adam warning him, explaining that harm will happen if he doesn’t listen to what he’s telling him, and it’s very clear that Adam should not disobey.  He warns Adam, his beloved Child - because he loves him and Adam knew no sin at this time and was innocence and God told him the truth about the evil and harm to stay away from.

“And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”  Genesis 2:16-17 KJV

So Adam and Eve have their first introduction to rules here as we move on to card number six (6) and the serpent’s deception.

THE SERPENT TWISTS GODS WORD

CARD 6:  THE SERPENT TWISTS GODS WORD  The serpent soon arrives now at this point in time and he comes specifically to tempt Adam and Eve and he persuades them to disobey God.  Think about how crafty Satan became and how he did this, he approached Eve instead of Adam first.  Adam had been spoken to first directly from God, so Satan instead approaches Eve, telling Eve that:  ‘You will not surely die’ so he craftily twisted Gods word from ‘shalt surely die’ to the serpent’s version saying ‘not surely die’.   This is a key reason God also trains us to learn His word and learn discernment so we can spot the twists and the truths verses the traps.

By chiding them saying ‘surely you won’t die’ he was using the love of God to make them sin, he was also trying to plant in their minds that God was wrong and that they would be fine.  Then he hung a huge carrot in front of their noses saying ‘you will be like God’ and they loved God and His holiness and knew God was all knowing and this was a huge temptation for them, a chance to be like God!

How many men on earth past and present have tried to pass themselves off as an all knowing leader and this is what Satan does, he gets them thinking, well … if we can be like God, then why not?

Adam and Eve had not known evil at this point, neither did they have a bible like we have nowadays to learn from, so the temptation thrown at them would have been really strong and probably relentless and them not having ever experienced evil before, and having free will of their own to make a choice - fell out of obeyance.

Genesis 3: 1-7 NKJV 3 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made.  And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?” 2 And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; 3 but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’ ” 4 Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. 5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” 6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was [a]pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. 7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves [b]coverings.”

The serpent was not a man who was created and then died this we know because there is no record of this in the human genealogy during the creation in Genesis.  So the serpent which is another name for snake that was tempting Eve to disobey God, most likely was a snake creation creature God made and had been occupied by Satan and since God only made Adam and Eve up to this point we know then that Satan is an unclean evil spirit from the supernatural world, and this explains why it is so important to know why we need to not only accept our salvation gift of grace through faith and love in  Jesus but Jesus is supernatural so he is able to intervene over the evil supernatural unseen realm that he tells us about in Ephesians 6:12 NKJV “12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of [b]the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

GOD'S HUMANS DISOBEY AND JUDGEMENT COMES UPON THEM

CARD 7:  GOD'S HUMANS DISOBEY AND JUDGEMENT COMES UPON THEM  Adam and Eve willfully disobey God, they listen to the serpent, Eve disobeys God first then Eve shares the fruit to Adam.  At this point Adam had free will to say no, just like Eve had her free will, but Adam makes his personal choice to disobey God as well.

Because they did not follow Gods specified rules many things now happen.  Judgement and curses follow from God to all three (3) parties involved: Adam, Eve and the serpent.  Adam and Eve were made to know their repercussions of not obeying God and the serpent was made known his destiny for plotting against God.

Genesis 3:8-22 NKJV says  “8And they heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden.  9Then the LORD God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?”  10So he said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.”  11And He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?”  12Then the man said, “The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate.”  13And the LORD God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?”  The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”

14So the Lord God said to the serpent:

“Because you have done this,
You are cursed more than all cattle,
And more than every beast of the field;
On your belly you shall go,
And you shall eat dust
All the days of your life.
15And I will put enmity
Between you and the woman,
And between your seed and her Seed;
He shall bruise your head,
And you shall bruise His heel.”

16To the woman He said:

“I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception;
In pain you shall bring forth children;
Your desire shall be for your husband,
And he shall rule over you.”

17Then to Adam He said,

“Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat of it’:

“Cursed is the ground for your sake;
In toil you shall eat of it
All the days of your life.
18Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you,
And you shall eat the herb of the field.
19In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread
Till you return to the ground,
For out of it you were taken;
For dust you are,
And to dust you shall return.”

“20And Adam called his wife’s name Eve, because she was the mother of all living. 21Also for Adam and his wife the LORD God made tunics of skin, and clothed them.  22Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”— 23therefore the LORD God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken. 24So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.”

Adam and Eve now know evil - they know sin.  And their hearts were like stone now because of this.  And being a heart of stone has them oppressed as a prisoner as they have no fleshly heart nature anymore.

VIOLENCE SPREADS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD

CARD 8:  VIOLENCE SPREADS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD  Adam and Eve were expelled from the Garden of Eden but they continued multiplying as God had specified and the world populated, however each new physical human birth from then on, is born under the judgement of sin and hardened heart of stone. Adam and Eve’s first son Cain even turned murderer killing his own brother Abel.

Then evil just bred and continued to spread forward throughout the humans after that and around the earth.  It became so terrible that God felt it was time to wash the earth with floodwaters for 40 days and 40 nights … and Noah, was at that time and found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

Noah pleases God, and God alerted Noah of the coming flood.  Genesis 6:13 NKJV “13 And God said to Noah, “The end of all flesh has come before Me, for the earth is filled with violence through them; and behold, I will destroy them with the earth.”

Genesis 6:17-20 “17 And behold, I Myself am bringing floodwaters on the earth, to destroy from under heaven all flesh in which is the breath of life; everything that is on the earth shall die. 18 But I will establish My covenant with you; and you shall go into the ark—you, your sons, your wife, and your sons’ wives with you. 19 And of every living thing of all flesh you shall bring two of every sort into the ark, to keep them alive with you; they shall be male and female. 20 Of the birds after their kind, of animals after their kind, and of every creeping thing of the earth after its kind, two of every kind will come to you to keep them alive.”

As the world still populates to this day and people continue to multiply each child even as we speak, is still born in his or her first physical birth under this original curse put upon Adam and the repercussions on Eve ongoing until we learn and accept God’s way out of this.  And we know this to be true because God starts to reveal his plan, his plans for our future, hope for us, and we start to see this revealed as early as Genesis 3:22 NKJV.

Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil.  And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”— Genesis 3:22 NKJV

In this verse we want to focus on the word lest for a second, and what follows in the instruction given by God.  The word “lest” in the dictionary shows the meaning: “with the intention of preventing (something undesirable); to avoid the risk of:”

In this we see God has a plan, we can all hope and know there is a way back for every human to that close relationship with God, and to the Kingdom of God and in Romans 10:14 MSG it says … ‘how is anyone going to tell them, unless someone is sent to do it?’

THE PROMISED MESSIAH AND GOD'S PLAN

CARD 9:  THE PROMISED MESSIAH AND GOD'S PLAN   After the flood, the world repopulates again but people being born in sin still under judgement, still remains a problem.  So how can this ongoing situation for all humans have any hope?   God had made and reveals his plan of Salvation, the way for us is if we are willing to learn about grace through faith doing this God’s way.  God proclaims right from the beginning in Genesis His covenant that the entire world next waits for.   Genesis 3:15 NKJV “15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.”  God is speaking about The Promised Messiah who is Jesus, that arrives during the time of John the Baptist.

We know and learn it is God who give any increase shown in 1 Corinthians 3:5-15 NKJV …”7but God who gives the increase”.  We also learn that God’s plan of redemption has only one way, and that all starts when we choose grace through faith according to the grace of God …”9we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, you are God’s building.”  Important to understand is that we are not the foundation because God put Jesus Christ in place as our wise master builder to lay the foundation in place for each one of us to build on Him – we see this in God’s word…”10According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I have laid the foundation, and another builds on it.  11For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”

God’s plan also explains in His word how each person who chooses Jesus Christ ought to think about what work’s he has built on the foundation… 1 Corinthians 3: 12-15 NKJV “12Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, 13each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. 14If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward.  15If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.”

We are blessed in today’s times in having God’s knowledge ahead of time how we move forward in our lives with Him properly and we see God’s plan brought to action on earth starting with the New Testament showing us the very clear instruction from God - He tells us we need to do in His plan.  We realize and know His grace through faith is arriving shortly on earth in the next phase of events and He makes it clear to any of His peoples then and now to ‘repent’ which in Greek means ‘to turn’.

Acts 17:30-31 ESV tells …  “The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent, because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed; and of this he has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead.”

At this time in God’s plan of redemption enters the prophet known as ‘John the baptist’ and he is announcing the Kingdom is at hand, and this is where we see great significance of God’s meaning to be separate when he states …‘come out and be separate’ as shown in 2 Corinthians 6:17 NKJV …Therefore “Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you.”

JOHN THE BAPTISTE STARTS WATER BAPTISMS

CARD 10:  JOHN THE BAPTIST STARTS WATER BAPTISM  John the baptist who was also a prophet, arrives on the scene in the first book in the New Testament.  John starts announcing the kingdom is at hand; Matthew 3:3-4  NKJV  “3For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying:

“The voice of one crying in the wilderness:
‘Prepare the way of the Lord;
Make His paths straight.’ ”

Meaning that God himself had entered human history as a man and John begins the first (1st) baptism (the 1st of 4 baptisms) in the doctrine of baptisms spoken of in the NT.  John starts the baptizing of peoples in water for the purpose for repentance and public confession of sins.

We learn John’s water baptizing is the 1st baptizing accomplishing an outward display of submission and immersion to ready the people for the arrival of Jesus.

Baptism #1:  John's Water Baptism for Repentance and public confession.  Matthew 3:11 KJV "I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:"

GOD’S ONLY SON AND HIS NAME SHALL BE JESUS

CARD 11:  GOD’S ONLY SON AND HIS NAME SHALL BE JESUS  Unfolding in this era is God’s plan and Jesus is born as per prior prophesy and Jesus meets John The Baptist.  Before Jesus was born, it was told in Luke 1:31 NKJV “And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS.” True to scripture Jesus was born, and some years pass as Jesus continues to grow and when Jesus was about 30 years old in this time frame John the Baptist starts announcing, He is coming in Matthew 3:11 NKJV “I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.”  People began to wonder then if John is the promised one, the savior and John tells them no it is not himself, not John.

Jesus who is The Messiah (Messiah in Greek translation is the word Christ) is our LORD and Savior, and He lets John know He also will be water baptized by John.  He gives John the explanation that this is in order to complete and fulfill righteousness of Father God’s will and plan.  Notice in the Gospels there is no record of any infant ever being water baptized in John’s water baptisms.  Jesus himself was not water baptized as an infant nor did he have any sin, nor did he have any confession of sin to make but he submitted himself for specific reason we see next here in Matthew 3:15.

Matthew 3:13-17 NKJV “13Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him. 14And John tried to prevent Him, saying, “I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me? 15But Jesus answered and said to him, “Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he allowed Him. 16When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. 17And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

So Jesus also submits himself unto John’s same water baptizing process that John did for the others before Jesus arrived on the scene.   John did not understand why Jesus needed to do the water baptism since John knew Jesus was the promised Messiah himself in the flesh.  The bible specifies that the reason Jesus did John’s water baptism was…” to fulfill all righteousness” Matthew 3:15 NKJV.

A very clear witnessed fact happened when Jesus came up from the water baptism with his face to the heavens.  Father God next spoke and said in Matthew 3:17, NKJV  "And suddenly a voice came from heaven saying, 'This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.'"   So in this witness and witnessed declaration from Father God, also referred to as Abba in scripture by Jesus, Father God proclaimed confirmation forever forward now that indeed Jesus is his son heard by many people in that day and in God’s word this is written.

JESUS NOW TEACHES THE GOOD NEWS AND BORN AGAIN

CARD 12:  JESUS NOW TEACHES THE GOOD NEWS AND BORN AGAIN  Jesus continues his ministry teaching full time and tells about the good news, the gospels John 5:36 “But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me. 37 And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.”

Jesus also started saying how we must become reborn, born again and during this time a Pharisee man name Nicodemus becomes very curious to know more, he came to Jesus not understanding how this can happen.

Pharisees in the bible were men scholars and community leaders who had significant influence over political and religious standards, especially because the Jewish ruling council laws were still rooted in Judaic religion and they were all expecting a victorious political style human ruler that would condemn the world and squash all their problems on the spot instead of a Messiah that would return to save the whole world from sin and not just their own plight.  They refused to acknowledge Jesus as the Messiah.

God’s word proceeds to explain Nicodemus seemed to recognize and acknowledge the authority of Jesus,  John 3:1-2 NKJV “There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. 2 This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.”   ‘4 Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”’…John 3:4 NKJV Jesus answers him with a fuller explanation of what it means to be reborn. John 3:5-7 NKJV “5 Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’”

Jesus tells us how the religious leaders of that time were not understanding these spiritual matters he was explaining… in John 3:9-12 NKJV “Nicodemus answered and said to Him, “How can these things be?  10 Jesus answered and said to him, “Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things? 11 Most assuredly, I say to you, We speak what We know and testify what We have seen, and you do not receive Our witness. 12 If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?”

Then, the Lord allowed Nicodemus a glimpse of the sacrifice He would make for mankind’s salvation and says in John 3:14-18 NKJV “14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should [a]not perish but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. 18 “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”

Baptism #2  The baptism at the cross, also referred to as the baptism of suffering.  Before Jesus’ death, he spoke of this baptism in Luke 12:50 "But I have a baptism to be baptised with, and how distressed I am till it is accomplished!"

The baptism of the cross (Mark 10:35–39) – Jesus used the language of baptism to refer to His sufferings (and those of His disciples). James and John, the Boanerges, had come to Jesus asking for a place of honor in the kingdom. Jesus asked them, “Can you . . . be baptized with the baptism I am baptized with?” (Mark 10:38). They replied that they could, and Jesus confirmed it: “You will . . . be baptized with the baptism I am baptized with” (verse 39). The “baptism” Jesus speaks of here is the suffering He was to endure. James and John would suffer, as well.

JESUS IS PUT TO DEATH, CHRIST RISES, GOD'S PLAN IN FIRE AND SPIRIT MOVES FORWARD

CARD 13:  JESUS IS PUT TO DEATH, CHRIST RISES, GOD'S PLAN IN FIRE AND SPIRIT MOVES FORWARD  Jesus’ full ministry carrying out Fathers will, spread through the people and areas for approximately three (3) years, until he was put to death.  Jesus endured the most painful death of crucifixion, this application of death was normally reserved for the worst criminals of that time and Jesus was innocent, he was sinless and without flaw, Jesus was and still is perfection.  Jesus was approximately 33 years of age when they murdered Him in the flesh.  Even though Jesus was a Jew himself, He posed a threat to the Jewish Pharisee’s religious traditions so much that they were unwilling to accept the Messiah, the grace through faith and the good news so in their own born in sin wisdom they killed Jesus.

At the exact point of Jesus’ carnal death four (4) miracles also occurred at the very same time.   Matthew 27:50-53 “50 And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit.  51 At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split 52 and the tombs broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life. 53 They came out of the tombs after Jesus’ resurrection and[c] went into the holy city and appeared to many people.”

Can you just imagine?!!?... the gnashing of teeth that must have went on when multiple dead saints of past rose from the dead to life, walking about the peoples not to mention the rest of the miracles!!  At this time surely they realized they made a huge mistake in putting to death God’s Son.  One has to wonder how God’s plan would have unfolded from that point forward, if the Pharisee’s had instead all accepted Jesus and the good news instead?  But Jesus knew their stony hearts because he spoke prior to this about rebuilding the temple within three (3) days.  But Jesus, was talking about his own resurrection.  Matthew 26:61 NKJV  “This fellow said, ‘I am able to destroy the temple of God and to build it in three days.’ ”

For those of us today able to learn from God’s Word in his scriptures, we realize the death of Jesus and then his resurrection after three (3) days all contained such great purpose now for our eternal futures.  He accomplished the impossible, that normal man born in sin could not.  This due to Jesus’ natural father was of Spirit and not from the flesh of Adam’s lineage which is why He is referred to often as Son of Man, fully God and fully human and also today our Living God.  The most important barrier Jesus tore apart was the curtain that was preventing us from getting back to God, and He set in place the truth, the light and the way to God, God’s plan of salvation.  Jesus atoned for all of our sins of the entire world including the future sins we see happening now in today’s times and the future sins others will commit in times coming unseen yet, which means there is no sin that was left out unatoned for – past – present or future.  Jesus’ blood paid the wages of death, he was the innocent lamb led to slaughter now allowing us to experience conversion and be reconciled by grace through faith in Jesus Christ to God and the heavenly Kingdom of God.

Matthew 3:11 NKJV …“He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.”  This declaration moves forward fulfilling this Word now with Christ being raised from the dead and all authority in Heaven and earth given to Him including that we can now be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus with Holy Spirit and Fire.

FIRE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM - TO HEARTS OF FLESH

CARD 14:  FIRE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM - TO HEARTS OF FLESH  We learn more now about the doctrine of the Holy Spirit and Fire baptism. Know that the NT shows us more than one baptism and in fact shows 4 baptisms the Gospels and disciples taught about.

Matthew 3:11 NKJV “I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” â€‹

Reference in the Old Testament validates the fire where the Lord says ‘He will bring’….in Zechariah 13:9, NKJV which says, "I will bring the one-third through the fire, will refine them as silver is refined, and test them as gold is tested.  They will call on my name, and I will answer them.  I will say, 'This is my people.' And each one will say, the Lord is my God."

Acts 2:38 ESV "And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."

We have need now to learn more about the doctrine of baptisms

spoken in the New Testament; and their differences at this point:

Baptism #1:  John's Water Baptism for repentance and public confession.  Matthew 3:11 KJV "I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:"  Differences:  no declaration said at time of baptism…’in the name of Father, Son and Holy Spirit’.  No declaration of being baptized ‘in the name of the Lord Jesus’, no mention of ‘fire’, no laying of hands.  The water baptizing should not be considered a work by itself just to obtain salvation.  It is not the process of just the work that determines salvation, and any work without faith is not a valid work as well.  Ephesians 2:8–9 ESV  “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” Jesus leads us by example in each and all of his teachings and He validated and ordained John’s baptism saying it was to fulfill righteousness by undergoing this Himself.  Water baptism is a one on one experience being done as an adult under your own submission that is a ‘person changing experience’ one-on-one with God.

Baptism #2:  This baptism at the cross also has been referred to by others as a baptism of suffering.  This baptism is spoken of by Jesus in Luke 12:50 "But I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how distressed I am till it is accomplished!"  Romans 5:18 KJV “Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.”  Differences:  No outward declaration made of ‘I baptize you in the name of Father, Son and Holy Spirit’ at time of baptism, no outward declaration made of I baptize ‘in the name of Lord Jesus’, no laying of hands to receive Holy Spirit, no mention of fire still having to come to Jesus at this time.  Only by the righteousness of one, for all time –  this gift is made unto all men.

Baptism #3:  Christian baptism often referred to as the 'Christian baptism in water' shows us it is different from John's baptism.  For this baptism Jesus says in Matthew 28:19 to his disciples "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit..."   Differences:  Does not yet include to baptize …’in the name of the Lord Jesus’, did not include any laying of hands.

Baptism #4:  In baptizing 'in the name of the Lord Jesus' as we are foretold in Matthew 3:11 "I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire."  Acts 2:38 And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

We see this baptism described by the disciples when they encountered believers who only had John's baptism, and so this becomes very important to see at this point just John's baptism alone was recognized by the disciples as not completed knowledge of the Gospels as yet as Christ is now risen and has full authority therefore all are now able to baptize in the name of the Lord Jesus, and he baptizes us in fire and spirt.  So it was explained to them the full Gospel of Jesus Christ and salvation for eternity and upon this; believers instantly baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus and received the Holy Spirit and Fire when they heard the complete message of the Gospels.

Acts 19:1-7 NKJV "19 And it happened, while Apollos was at Corinth, that Paul, having passed through the upper regions, came to Ephesus. And finding some disciples 2 he said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?”  So they said to him, “We have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit.”  3 And he said to them, “Into what then were you baptized?” So they said, “Into John’s baptism.” 4 Then Paul said, “John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.”5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6 And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied. 7 Now the men were about twelve in all."

ABOUT THE ‘FIRE’ (…He will baptize you in spirit and fire)

In 1 Corinthians 3:13-15 NKJV we can now learn more about what fire means.  “13 each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. 14 If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. 15 If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.”

2 Corinthians 5:17 ESV "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come."

At time of baptism, in the name of the Lord Jesus who baptizes us in spirit and fire – we receive the Comforter, because Father sends The Holy Spirit in Jesus name, to live in us forever who in turn helps teach us all things and remember those things what God has said to us.

John 14:26 KJV “26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”

The Kingdom of God is therefore found right inside our heart because of the gift of grace through faith.  This gift cannot be earned by good deeds nor ransomed for by a human, so a person cannot buy it nor earn it.  It is a gift you must be willing to accept in faith God’s way.

  • Ephesians 2:8 NKJV “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,”

  • Acts 4:12 "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

  • Hebrews 11:1 – “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”

  • Galatians 6:15 KJV “For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.”

There is only one (1) true authentic Jesus - The Messiah that can reconcile us to God Himself being Jesus Christ.  Hebrews 10:11-18 NKJV “11 And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12 But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, 13 from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool. 14 For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified. 15 But the Holy Spirit also witnesses to us; for after He had said before, 16 “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,” 17 then He adds, “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” 18 Now where there is remission of these, there is no longer an offering for sin.”

When there is remission, this is a once and done offering for sin not requiring repetition because there is no longer an offering for sin.

It is important to understand verse 18 and what does the word ‘remission’ actually mean, it is good to make it a bible study unto itself for further study and learning purposes but for plain dictionary English we can see a version of meaning here:

re·mis·sion oxford dictionary

noun

  1. the cancellation of a debt, charge, or penalty.

"the plan allows for the partial remission of tuition fees"

"ten out of twenty patients remained in remission"

  • formal

forgiveness of sins.

A person gets reconciled into the family of God in only one (1) way which is through Jesus because Jesus IS that narrow gate.  Matthew 7:13-14 NKJV 13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 [a]Because narrow is the gate and [b]difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”

Ask yourselves…If a person does not accept this gift, then who is that person reconciled to since we are all born in sin?  The sad truth is they are reconciled to themselves, to sin eternally.

John 14:6 NKJV “6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

BE CONVERTED AND BECOME AS LITTLE CHILDREN

CARD 15:  BE CONVERTED AND BECOME AS LITTLE CHILDREN  When Jesus said one must be born again, he really meant it …John 3:36 ESV "Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him."

To become as little children understand that God is spirit and God’s word is always the truth, exact and accurate.  We see this reinforced here again in scripture in KJV Matthew 18:2-4 “And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, and said, Verily I say unto you, except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.”

God sent his son and grace as our gift but we must accept all by doing it God’s way.  We act on this in grace through faith in our LORD Jesus, doing this God’s way, not the way ‘we think’ things should be done - but God’s Way and there is a specific reason because father God is spirit so we as humans need to reconcile by spirit (with Holy Spirit) as well back to Father God, just like Jesus explained that no one comes to the father except through Him.  Because of the grace Father ordained to one man only Christ Jesus; this is where we in turn are able to find grace as well.

John 17:22-23  “And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.

John 17:25-26 NKJV  “O righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me. And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them."

Ephesians 1:3-5 ESV "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will,"

JOYFULLY WE ARE UNITED TO GOD - SHOWN TO FATHER

CARD 16  JOYFULLY WE ARE UNITED TO GOD - SHOWN TO FATHER  After the message of the Gospels is taught to us about salvation in Christ and we receive this and we are reconciled into the family of God through Lord Jesus Christ our life moves on a constant straight forward - eyes on Jesus - as we stay on our path of being refined and tested with fire and our sanctification process is now permanently ongoing for the rest of our lives on earth.

Reveal to father…Matthew 11:27 NKJV “All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him.”

We also learn from scripture that Jesus actually learned obedience through his suffering and we need to learn obedience as well when we encounter suffering.  Hebrews 5:8 NKJV “though he was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered.”  Jesus teaches us everything by his lead, by his example and he tells us we will need to keep our confidence to endure till the end.

Hebrews 10:35-39 ESV "35 Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. 36 For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised. 37 For, “Yet a little while, and the coming one will come and will not delay; 38 but my righteous one shall live by faith, and if he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him.”  39 But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and preserve their souls.”

James 1:12 KJV Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

Revelation 2:10 KJV “Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.”

We receive The Holy Spirit becoming the new creature in us - our comforter and educator of all things, Jesus reveals us to Father, our name is confessed to Father and the book of life in Revelation 3:5 ESV “The one who conquers will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will never blot his name out of the book of life. I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels.”

We also receive the gift of heirship which Jesus taught about in his ministry including our anointing to trample on the scorpions and snakes, cast out the demons in Jesus name with his authority and the power of God and we are told we should desire most of all spiritual gifts being of more importance than worldly things of the earth and we can request and receive these spiritual gifts from heaven.

Jesus tells us importantly that there is a 'more excellent way', and we should ask him about that.  1 Corinthians 12:31 Both NKJV and KJV Versions as follows:  KJV “Covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.”    NKJV “But earnestly desire the best gifts. And yet I show you a more excellent way.”

We no longer endure alone but have our most high wonderful, loving and kind Father, our LORD Jesus, our Holy Spirit and we know that we can have a real relationship with Him going forward.  He is that someone who is always there for us, and never leaves us, someone to talk to around the clock and to help us with our every need in all ways that will be our best outcome for us and we learn from Jesus how and when we should pray, and to worship Father in truth and spirit as well we can also ask for and receive God’s wisdom now instead of man’s worldly wisdom to help us endure and discern more clearly.

We put our faith in the power of God 1 Corinthians 2:5 “that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.” And we strive for faith working through love in all things… “For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love.” Galatians 5:6 NKJV.  And we keep our eyes on Jesus, the will of Father… Matthew 12:50 KJV “For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.”

2 Corinthians 5:18 "And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;"

Importantly those of us in Christ Jesus know that we have been given the ministry of reconciliation in order to reach others.

WE WAIT FOR THE MARRIAGE SUPPER OF THE LAMB

CARD 17:  WE WAIT FOR THE MARRIAGE SUPPER OF THE LAMB  This feast every born again follower of Christ eagerly awaits and will take place when all of the church referred to as the bride, has been taken up to Heaven and everyone united with our Savior, the bridegroom.

Revelation 22:17 “The Spirit and the bride say, 'Come.' Let anyone who hears this say, 'Come.' Let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life.”

Revelation 19:9 ...“And the angel said to me, ‘Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.’ And he said to me, ‘These are the true words of God’”

Revelation 19:6-8  "6 Then I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the roar of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying out, “Hallelujah!  For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns. 7 Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory,
for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready; 8 it was granted her to clothe herself with fine linen, bright and pure”— for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints.”

In the Book of Genesis, Adam and Eve disobeyed God and severed the relationship between humanity and God. The sin meant unholy individuals could not stand before their holy God without atoning for their sins.  By faith, many through the centuries came to have a relationship with our LORD, and after the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, man had direct access to God and no longer needed to sacrifice animals and such as we saw in the Old Testament to atone for their sins and instead Father God through Jesus makes it all possible with grace through faith, forgiveness and sincere repentance. Those who love the Lord want to be reunited with Him.

The wedding supper, or marriage supper - depending on the translation, is the celebration that will occur sometime during the end of days, when those who will spend eternity in heaven celebrate being united with Jesus, Jesus, Father God and Holy Spirit forever forever. The believers are symbolized by the bride and Jesus is the bridegroom. After centuries, all of heaven will celebrate Jesus and everyone He died to save being together and His rightful reign over all the earth. It is a moment of great excitement, one that even the LORD Jesus is looking forward to.

It is felt the wedding supper is what he referred to when Jesus said, Matthew 26:29 "But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s kingdom."

ARE YOU READY TO ACCEPT JESUS TODAY?

Are you ready to begin anew and accept God’s gift of Grace, to accept Jesus today?  That is the big question now that you want to think about if you are listening to this presentation or watching this on video and you have been following along.  Jesus is the only door to salvation.  There is no other door.  There is no other way.  Jesus is how we reconcile into the family of God.

Ephesians 4:7 KJV “But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.”

Remember to speak out loud from your mouth.  Romans 10:9 KJV “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
